The extent of that psychic driving haunts him even still and manifested itself, as spoken by Hiro himself, as this voice that is constantly there, telling him to do these horrible things.
I see. He's very young if I'm remembering right. It's not surprising that Crane could bend his mind so seamlessly. Though I suspect he already had subconscious inclinations toward violence, even if small, for it to get so dangerously far.

I am interested in seeing how their minds rebound from such damage. Hiro seems to have the support of many friends. And perhaps Gogo will have people there for her as well?
As for Crane, his downfall had to be his own. Even had someone exposed him before now, he is under protection from the one who claims to be the devil. Whether you believe in that sort of supernatural superstition or not -- you cannot deny how powerful Lucifer is.
