Hey. So I don't suppose you know anything about these, do you?
[Dean holds up a bunch of flowers that he'd snagged from a table in a restaurant. No point in beating around the bush, right? Or the bouquet, as the case may be. Interestingly enough, Dean doesn't actually seem to be affected by them at all and a few seconds later flames curl up around the entire arrangement and he drops the smoldering greenery to the ground, a few licks of fire still curling around his fingers for a few seconds.]
I'm looking for a ring. Pretty old looking. Has a black stone in it. You seen it?
[ Oh. Hello, Dean. Raina had been expecting you since Lucifer gave her the ring. Of course, she doesn't look as though she's been expecting him. As a matter of fact, she appears downright stricken -- a deer in the headlights watching as he burns the flowers. ]
I...
[ And then she glances off to the side. Oh! How terrible this is. ]
Is that what's wrong with me? The ring.
[ Her brows furrowed as she lifts her hand, showcasing the ring in question before she quickly takes it off. ]
Is this my fault? Someone gave it to me, tricked me into trying it on. And ever since then, I haven't been able to stop making flowers.
[That display gets a raised eyebrow from Dean. The shock is completely different from Chilton's anger and Jeff's cockiness over the rings and what they had done. But that also makes this easier for Dean. At least Raina takes off the ring quickly enough, so that's good. Now all that's left is to go and get it back.
There's just one little question about something she says that has Dean frowning.] Who gave it to you?
Some young man. A non-imPort I believe. But he said it was a gift for me -- for all the things I do for the community. I thought it was just someone being nice.
[ Her fingers close around the ring as she looks up at Dean. ]
What's going to happen now? If you take this, can you stop what's happening?
I'm at home, but...can I meet you elsewhere? I would rather not worry Frederick over this. It's been a stressful week for him after half of his hospital staff and patients fell into that strange sleep a few days ago.
[ Raina gets up and grabs her purse, dumping the ring inside of it for safe keeping before slinging the strap over her shoulder. ]
I can meet you at the Heropa cafe, if that would be convenient?
[ Dean would find that out anyway, so Raina would rather he hears it from her mouth. ]
I won't be long. If I leave right now, it should take me no longer than ten minutes. I hope you'll at least give me five minutes of your time. A cup of coffee for an explanation about what this ring is and what it did to me and to everyone else.
Your boyfriend. Okay. [Something else he hadn't seen coming. Raina was just full of surprises and he was t entirely sure that was a good thing.]
Sure. I'll meet you there. [And he disconnects.
It takes less than a minute for him to drop by the house and grab Cap before heading over to the cafe. Dean's definitely early, but it's not like it matters. He takes a seat at one of the outside tables with a clear view of any passers by and the German Shepherd flops to the ground at his feet, raising his head and beating his tail against the ground slightly whenever anybody came near them.]
[ True to her word, Raina shows up in a little less than ten minutes. She offers a faint smile of greeting as soon as she spots Dean, sweeping her eyes around the crowd uncertainly before she settles into the seat across from him. She spares a glance to the dog. ]
Oh. Brought a guest?
[ And is it just a normal dog? There are those here with the ability to transform into one. For all she knows, that could be one of Will Graham's abilities. He certainly seemed to act like a dog in ways -- loyal to his friends, barking at potentially threatening strangers, and as an FBI agent probably chasing after leads.
It doesn't matter, though. Raina's not here to start any trouble. She opens up her purse, pulls out the ring and offers it to him on an open palm. No fight. No resistance. He didn't even have to ask for it twice. ]
I'm trusting that you'll do the right thing with this. I'm trusting you have no intentions to use this yourself. You never did tell me why you were looking for this.
A friend. Raina, Captain. Captain, Raina. [It works out just fine for Dean if people think that Cap might be more than just a dog. The most extraordinary thing about him is that Dean can understand him. And that's part of his abilities here, not something that's unique to the one dog.
Once Dean has introduced him, Cap lays his head back down, glancing up at Raina every so often.
Dean doesn't need to be told twice to take the ring, picking it up from Raina's hand and tucking it away into a pocket in his jeans. As for her trust in him, well. He gives her a smile that's more on the edge of a smirk.]
These rings only have one use to me. And it's not jewelry. Or to start the apocalypse. [Since that was their intended purpose. Horsemen and all.]
They're the key to Lucifer's cage in Hell. Lock him up, throw away the key. The only reason they're even here is because they were on me when I got ported in. But making sure they don't jump start the apocalypse here is kind of my job. Sammy and me? We're putting them on lock down, once we've got them all back.
[ Raina grins down at the dog and then looks up at Dean just as he takes the proffered ring. ]
Does he shake?
[ She extends her palm for that handshake. And regardless of whether she receives the paw or not, her attention returns to Dean completely. Rings. Horsemen. Apocalypse. Dean isn't really saying anything that she hasn't already figured out, but that one tidbit about them being the key to lock up Lucifer. Now that is interesting. ]
Do they house that sort of power here? To lock him up, if need be? I've heard the stories of what he did in his time here before. I know enough to know he's dangerous. But these rings in yours and Sam's hands, can they stop him if he actually becomes a threat?
[ The truth is, Raina's no one's ally. Lucifer's agendas align with her own more than any heroism Sam or Dean try, of course. But she also recognizes the potential threat Lucifer can be to not only her, but Chilton as well. Ideally the two opposing forces would wipe each other out without her even having to lift a finger or directly choose a side. ]

Yeah. Well. Apparently you can't trust anybody.
[He gives a bit of a wry smile at that. But he can't really blame her for what had happened. Even if it means he'll definitely be checking into her.]
Now? I'll come and take it and this'll all be over. [For now.]

[Not something that Dean's willing to chalk up to coincidence.]
And I can meet you wherever. Getting there isn't an issue.
